Panel Manufacturing

Power Distribution Panels

Power distribution panels form the backbone of a facility's entire low-voltage distribution, from the main power intake to the machine and equipment supplies. A fault in the main distribution panel usually stops not a single machine but the whole operation. In panel design, selectivity, thermal withstand, and short-circuit coordination therefore translate directly into operational continuity.

Miratek engineers main and sub-distribution panels starting from the facility's load schedule; short-circuit calculations, busbar sizing, and selectivity analysis are completed before manufacturing. Manufacturing is based on the IEC 61439 series, and the panel passes routine tests before leaving the factory. Site installation, cable termination, and commissioning are delivered turnkey — the customer works with a single point of contact at every stage.

How We Work

1

Site survey and load analysis

The facility's load schedule, power requirement, and future growth margin are worked out together on site.

2

Design

The single-line diagram, short-circuit calculation, selectivity analysis, and busbar sizing are prepared and submitted for approval.

3

Manufacturing

The panel is manufactured in the workshop in accordance with the form separation and the project documents.

4

Factory tests

Routine tests, insulation measurements, and functional checks are reported before the panel leaves the factory.

5

Site installation

The panel is set in place; cable terminations and grounding connections are made.

6

Commissioning

Energization is performed in a controlled manner, and the protection settings are verified against site conditions.

Scope of Work

  • Design and manufacturing of main distribution (MDB) and sub-distribution panels
  • Motor control center (MCC) and machine feed panels
  • Short-circuit, selectivity, and busbar sizing calculations
  • Switchgear component selection and procurement
  • Site installation, cable termination, and labelling
  • Routine tests, measurement reports, and commissioning

Frequently Asked Questions

What information should we prepare when ordering a power distribution panel?

The facility's load schedule, the main supply rating, and — if available — the existing single-line diagram are enough to start. If you do not have these documents, we work out the load schedule together during the site survey. Design proceeds from this data and is submitted for your approval before manufacturing.

Our existing panel cannot handle the growing load — is a complete replacement required?

Not always. The existing panel's busbar capacity, short-circuit withstand, and physical condition are examined, and we report whether a revision or a renewal is needed. Where a revision is not safe, the changeover to a new panel is planned to minimize production downtime.

To which standards are the panels manufactured?

Manufacturing is based on the IEC 61439 and TS EN 61439 series; on the installation side, the provisions of the Electrical High Current Installations Regulation are observed. Routine tests are performed at the factory outgoing stage and delivered with their reports.
