Low-Current Systems

A facility's security and operational continuity depend not only on its power infrastructure but also on correctly structured low-current (ELV) systems. Camera surveillance, fire detection, access control, and structured cabling systems together meet the needs of life safety, asset protection, and operational visibility. The ELV service covers the design, installation, and integration of these systems.

Miratek runs ELV projects in coordination with the power distribution projects; cable trays, panel layout, and power supply points are planned under a single engineering discipline. Fire detection design follows the TS EN 54 series and the Regulation on Fire Protection of Buildings; the systems are commissioned with scenarios specific to the facility.

In industrial facilities, integrating ELV systems with SCADA or building automation carries particular importance. Being able to monitor alarm, recording, and access data from a single center gives the operation both speed and ease of oversight.

Execution designs covering device layout, the cabling plan, and system integration are prepared.

Procurement and Installation

Equipment matching the design is procured; cabling and device installation are planned and executed without disrupting operations.

Integration and Programming

The systems are integrated with one another and, where present, with the central monitoring platform; alarm and access scenarios are programmed.

Testing and Commissioning

Each system is tested scenario by scenario; fire detection scenarios are verified in place and the system is handed over.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between addressable and conventional fire detection?

In addressable systems, each detector is monitored at its own address, so the exact origin of an alarm is seen instantly. Conventional systems report by zone and suit smaller facilities. The right system for your facility size and risk class is determined at the survey stage.

Can ELV systems be added to an existing, operating facility?

Yes. The existing cable infrastructure and panel capacity are examined, and the system can be installed without stopping operations. Installation work is staged around the production plan, and commissioning tests are performed in a controlled manner.

Can ELV systems be monitored from a single center?

They can. CCTV, fire detection, and access control systems can be brought together on one screen via an integration platform. In industrial facilities, this data can also be fed into the SCADA system and combined with operational monitoring.
