Challenge
Mega infrastructure projects are investments spread across wide geographies, executed under demanding site conditions and tight progress schedules. At sites such as motorways, dams and power plants, the electrical infrastructure must be commissioned with high reliability, without interruption, and in coordination with many disciplines working simultaneously. The principal challenges in these projects are planning numerous interconnected transformer substations and MV distribution points, managing material procurement and installation in line with the project schedule, designing protection and grounding solutions suited to site conditions, and delivering the entire system in full compliance with TEDAS and the relevant national and international standards.
The Miratek Solution
Miratek supported Kolin Insaat's projects with an experienced field engineering team and an end-to-end contracting approach. The process began with needs analysis and design, and was completed with the design, material procurement, on-site installation, testing and commissioning of MV (1kV–35kV) distribution systems, transformer substations and distribution panels. The work was based on MV switchgear cubicle installation and protection relay coordination at the transformer substations, IEC 61439-compliant manufacturing for the distribution panels, and standards-compliant cabling and grounding practices in the field. Carried out under ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems, the work progressed in coordination with the project's other disciplines while adhering to occupational safety, environmental and quality requirements.
