Collaboration

With Omsun Enerji, we run a technical partnership covering the electrical infrastructure of solar power plants, battery energy storage system (BESS) integration, and solar inverter coordination. We provide end-to-end engineering support for SPP sites, from DC/AC cabling infrastructure to grid connection, and from storage system integration to commissioning. The partnership aims to deliver renewable generation to the grid in an uninterrupted, stable, and fully standards-compliant manner.

Challenge

Solar power plant output fluctuates with intraday irradiance and seasonal conditions. In the projects carried out with Omsun Enerji, the core engineering challenge was reconciling the variable character of photovoltaic generation with the stability the grid expects: the inverters had to operate in harmony, the energy storage system had to step in at the right point, and the entire site had to be connected to the grid in full compliance with TEDAS and EMRA (EPDK) regulations and the relevant IEC standards. It was also important to design the DC- and AC-side cabling infrastructure to minimize losses, simplify maintenance, and ensure a long service life.

The Miratek Solution

At Miratek, we adopted a site-specific engineering approach. While designing the SPP electrical infrastructure, we optimized the DC string topology, combiner box placement, and AC collection lines to reduce losses. We configured the coordination of the solar inverters with attention to reactive power control and grid code requirements. We integrated the battery energy storage system (BESS) with the inverters and the grid connection to make use of surplus generation and to smooth the generation-consumption balance. We conducted the grid connection in step with the relevant distribution company's approval processes, and set up synchronization and protection coordination according to the standards. During commissioning, we verified the system's safe operation with field tests, grounding measurements, and functional checks. With remote energy monitoring and SCADA infrastructure, we enabled continuous tracking of the site's performance.

Results

  • The SPP site was connected to the grid in full compliance with the standards and commissioned without issues
  • Stable and harmonized power delivery through solar inverter coordination
  • Flexibility in the generation-consumption balance thanks to energy storage integration
  • Continuous and transparent performance tracking through remote monitoring infrastructure

Sıkça Sorulan Sorular

Which areas does the partnership between Miratek and Omsun Enerji cover?+

The partnership is built on the design and installation of solar power plant electrical infrastructure, battery energy storage system (BESS) integration, and solar inverter coordination. End-to-end engineering support is provided, from DC/AC cabling infrastructure to grid connection and commissioning.

Why is energy storage integration important in SPP projects?+

Solar generation fluctuates during the day depending on irradiance. Energy storage systems make it possible to use surplus generation and to smooth the balance between generation and consumption. This enables more flexible and efficient energy management.

What does solar inverter coordination mean?+

Solar inverter coordination is the configuration of the site's inverters so that they operate in harmony with each other and with the grid. Carried out with attention to reactive power control and grid code requirements, this work ensures that generation is delivered to the grid in a stable, standards-compliant manner.

Which standards govern SPP grid connection?+

Grid connection processes are conducted according to the regulatory requirements of the relevant distribution company (TEDAS) and EMRA (EPDK), and the applicable IEC standards. Synchronization, protection coordination, and commissioning tests are performed within the framework of these standards.
